Children Help Phone (French: Jeunesse, J'ÃÆ'à © coute ) is a Canadian charity that provides free online and telephone counseling for children and teenagers in Canada. In addition to counseling services, the Children Help Phone also provides information on accessing support services for children and adolescents.
Since May 16, 1989, the organization has been counseling the youth through toll-free numbers. The service received a million calls in 1993, and the organization launched anonymous online counseling system in 2002. In 2010, the Children Help Phone partnered with Sandra Hanington and Eric Windeler to create "The Jack Project @ Kids Help Phone" (brand -to Jack.org in 2013) to develop programs and workshops targeted specifically at young people. With their help, Kids Help Phone can create online chat services and mobile apps to reach the current generation of technology literacy. This then launches BroTalk, a special online service for teenage boys, in 2015 as an outreach program to reduce the stigma around men seeking mental health support.
