A nutritionist is the person who advises on food and nutrition matters and their impact on human health. Government regulations, especially in terms of licensing, are currently more universal for RD or RDN than CCN.
Certified Clinical Nutritionists (CCN) are skilled health experts who offer dietary advice on the role of nutrients in chronic diseases, including prevention or recovery that is possible by overcoming nutritional deficiencies before switching to drugs. Quackwatch accused the group of credibility to CCNs, and its members, for promoting dubious medical claims including homeopathy, detoxification, and herbalism.
