The classic television series cult of Twin Peaks has spawned several successful books and audiobooks due to its popularity. In 1990 and 1991, Pocket Books released three official tie-in books, each written by the event maker (or their family) that offered backstory riches. A more official tie-in book will be released in 2016 and 2017, written by Mark Frost.

There are six novels based on Twin Peaks which have been released in book and/or audio book formats and written by authors involved with the series. These books are meant to be canons for franchising and to extend the storyline depicted in series and movies; they do contain some errors of continuity and contradiction, but some may be deliberate.
