Plot
Tito is a former racer with his father's garage, Marshall Performance Motors, in Mount Kisco, New York where he and his friends tuned in to performance cars. Struggling to make ends meet, he and his crew participated in street races after hours. After the race, former rival Tobey, Dino Brewster requires them to complete the rare Ford Shelby Mustang build by late Carroll Shelby, in return for 25% of the estimated $ 3 million car sale price. The finished Mustang is shown for auction at a party in New York City. Tobey and Dino meet Julia, a British car broker whose client Bill Ingram wants to buy the car if they can prove it will drive more than 230 mph as Tobey claims. Despite Dino's objections, Tobey took the Mustang to the local racing track and managed to push it at 234 mph, convincing Ingram to buy it for $ 2.7 million.
Dino, angry that Tobey did not obey his orders, challenged Tobey and his friend Pete to race after Pete flatly told Dino that everyone knew Tobey was a better driver than he was. Dino offers to release his entire share of Mustang sales if Tobey wins, otherwise Tobey should lose his share. Three races on the interstate in the three illegally imported Koenigsegg Agera R's. At home stretching, Dino realizes that he will be defeated, deliberately crashing Pete's car, sending him to the abyss and killing Pete when the flames blaze. Dino disappeared from the scene, and Tobey served two years in prison for accidental killing, unable to prove that Dino was there.
After being released on parole, Tobey sets out to avenge Pete's death. He borrowed Mustang belonging to Mustang to enter De Leon, a triumphant supercar race hosted by the mysterious Monarch. As a condition, Ingram required Julia to accompany Tobey while Tobey drove a Mustang. The pair must reach San Francisco before the race begins in 45 hours. In Detroit, they caused an interstate chase with Michigan State Police and uploaded the recording, leading Monarch to offer invitations to De Leon. Dino offers the rare Lamborghini Sesto Elemento to anyone who can stop Tobey from entering the race, causing a group of truck drivers to chase Mustang as well.
The truckers ambushed Tobey and Julia in Utah, forcing them out of the way. Maverick, a member of Tobey's crew, appeared in a US Army helicopter stolen from the National Guard, and dragged Mustang into the air to Tobey's crew in the Bonneville Salt Flats, getting himself captured in the process. Tobey and Julia reached the Mark Hopkins Hotel in San Francisco in time to register for the race, but at Nob Hill, a tow truck crashed into a Mustang, injured Julia and left Tobey without a car for the race. Desperate, Tobey meets with Dino's fiancee Anita, his ex-boyfriend and Pete's sister. After discovering Dino's involvement in Pete's death, Anita gives Tobey the location of Dino's Koenigsegg, which is Toby and a member of Joe's extract crew. Tobey meets Julia at a San Francisco hospital, and confesses her feelings for her with a kiss, letting her know that she has a "fast" car, and this is for Pete.
The next morning, Tobey surprises Dino by appearing on Koenigsegg and giving him Anita's engagement ring, telling him that he's been with him. The race was exhausting, with racers and police alike broken down one by one, eventually leaving Dino and Tobey racing along the Pacific Coast Highway. Dino tries to crash Tobey from the street, but Tobey slams his brakes, causing Dino's car to fall. Near the finish line, Tobey turned to pull Dino from the burning ruins before winning the race (reflecting Pete's vision that he claimed before dying). Both were captured by the California Highway Patrol; the police proved Dino's Koenigsegg and used that evidence to imprison him for killing Pete. After serving 178 days in jail for illegal street races, Tobey was released and Julia met him at the prison gate at Ford Mustang 2015. The couple had five hours to reach the prison in Utah, where Maverick was released earlier due to good manners.
