A wedding planner is a professional who helps design, plan, and manage client marriages. Marriage is an important event in people's lives and as such, couples are often willing to spend enough money to ensure that their marriages are well-organized. Wedding planners are often used by couples who work long hours and have little spare time to find and manage wedding venues and wedding suppliers.
Professional wedding planners are based around the world but this industry is the largest in the US, India, Western Europe and China. Planners are also popular among couples who plan destination weddings, where documentation and documents can be tricky. Every country where a wedding is held requires different procedures depending on the nationality of each bride and groom. For example, married Americans in Italy need Nulla Osta (inaugurated statement in front of the US consulate in Italy), plus Atto Notorio (sworn in front of people Italy) consulates in the US or in courts in Italy), and the above legalization. Some countries even have agreements and couples can get a No Impediment form from their local registrars and have been translated by consulates in marriage countries. The 2001 comedy The Wedding Planner with Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey is about the busy life of a wedding planner who falls in love with one of her clients. Also, many TV shows are branched off from wedding plans, such as TLC's Say Yes to the Dress . This is a reality show that follows the bride as they shop at the prestigious Kleinfeld for their perfect wedding dress. Another show is 'My Fair Wedding' with celebrity party planner David Tutera.
Recently, the Bollywood movie Baaja Baaraat Band is about marriage planners who fall in love. Ranveer Singh debuted with this film and won Best Debut in several awards. This film successfully runs in theaters.
